Management Advanced Apprenticeship (Level 3 in Strategy, Fitness or Outdoor Sports)

The Management Advanced Apprenticeship package is one of the best frameworks in the country and is not just for office-based management as the name may suggest. It is ideal for advanced personal trainers or coaches interested in the management strategy of their client's programme and the business itself.

The Management NVQ is unique in that is is driven by a wide range (over 20) optional units, allowing a more personalised approach to any career.

Here are a few of our most popular options:

Option 1: Management of the Business (Operation and Strategy)
This option provides assessment of the business, from marketing to sales to quality procedures. Suitable for managers of employees and systems without direct involvement in the day-to-day operation.

Option 2: Management of an Advanced Personal Training Programme
The new management qualification offers the same REPs accreditation but with a far more flexible approach that includes the latest in nutrition and exercise kinesiology. Ironically, nutrition is no longer a mandatory part of the fitness framework with various legislative changes leaving less room for this important aspect.

Management qualifications are also transferable to any industry and allow you as a trainer to understand project management whilst still achieving the industry knowledge you need.

A project in "setting up your personal training business" including tax issues and marketing strategy is also included for a complete package.

Option 3: Management of Outdoor Programmes
This qualification is focused on the management of a medium risk outdoors environment with activities such as rock climbing, canoeing and similar. The outdoors programme industry is unique as business risk with a range of staff coming and going throughout the year. It is imperative that managers understand and consider issues such as employment contract and customer procedures to protect the company. In a world where the motto is "Sue first, ask questions later", an understanding of the Law of Contract is essential.

Level 4 and 5 qualification options are available upon referral after achieving at Level 3.
