Equal
Opportunities
U-Phorm
is committed to promoting an environment of equal opportunity
for its students, staff and visitors. We believe that passive
compliance with anti-discrimination laws is not enough.
The Sex
Discrimination Act 1975, the Sex Discrimination (Gender Reassignment)
Regulations 1999, the Race Relations Act 1976, the Race Relations
(Amendment) Act 2000, the Equal Pay Act 1970, the Employment
Equality (Sexual Orientation) Regulations 2003, the Employment
Equality (Religion or Belief) Regulations 2003 and the Employment
Equality (Age) Regulations 2006 made it illegal for employers
to discriminate, either directly or indirectly, in recruitment,
promotion, training and terms and conditions of employment
on grounds of sex, race, marital status, disability, sexual
orientation or religion or belief.
U-Phorm
confirms that its policy for employees and students is one
of full equal opportunity.
Employees
and students will be offered equal opportunities irrespective
of their race, colour, gender, age sexual orientation, culture,
HIV status, religion or belief, creed, marital status, parental
status, nationality, ethnic origin, social or economic class,
political belief or disability. Employees and students will
be made aware of U-Phorm's grievance procedure for addressing
any concerns regarding the contravention of the above factors.
U-Phorm
will, wherever possible, provide support arrangements and
auxiliary aids to assist persons with disabilities and special
needs to access its services.
